HTC and Sprint dropped a huge bomb on the smartphone industry yesterday when they unveiled undoubtedly the most advanced handheld device ever created.  The HTC EVO 4G.  Yes it’s that good.  The specs are enough to make any gadget nerd sell his AT-AT on eBay to get one:

  • It runs on Sprints super fast 4G network
  • 4.3″ TFT screen that dwarfs the iPhone and Nexus One.
  • It runs Google Android OS 2.1 (latest and greatest)
  • 1Ghz processor, WIFI, 8MP camera that shoots 720p video
  • HTC’s exclusive SenseUI
  • Loads of built in memory

Appearance-wise it looks similar to HTC’s HD2 but that device runs on the soon-to-be-replaced Windows Mobile 6.5.  This one runs Android which is far better in my opinion.  Head on over to Engadget and read all about it.
